CEC supports clients by helping them to identify specific questions. We then help design a monitoring or experimental plan that will answer these questions. CEC also supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of the information systems needed to collect the required data. We apply relational strategies to building information systems that facilitate data capture, quality assurance, quality control, analysis, interpretation, access, and maintenance. We also develop metadata that describe the rationale and approach used to collect data, the methods used to analyze samples, and the statistical analyses applied.
CEC assists clients by helping them to locate existing data that are relevant to the environmental issues at hand. CEC helps to organize, document, restore, and integrate environmental data, expanding the usefulness and accessibility of environmental data.
