CEC supports clients by helping identify specific questions and then designing a monitoring or experimental plan to answer such questions. CEC also supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of the information systems needed to collect the required data. We apply relational strategies to building information systems that facilitate data capture, quality assurance, quality control, analysis, interpretation, access, and maintenance. We also develop metadata that describe the rationale and approach used to collect data, the methods used to analyze samples, and the statistical analyses applied.
CEC assists clients by locating existing data that are relevant to pressing environmental issues. CEC helps clients organize, document, restore, and integrate environmental data, expanding the usefulness and accessibility of collected environmental data.
