Jeffrey S. Rosen is Vice President of the Environmental Information Services Group for Clancy Environmental Consultants, Inc. Mr. Rosen has over 30 years of experience in conducting environmental research. His career has focused on processing data into useful information to support effective environmental management and decision making. He is experienced in the design, implementation, and maintenance of large environmental information systems. He has been the senior systems analyst supporting a number of regional and national environmental systems for marine research, drinking water research, and environmental monitoring programs. Mr. Rosen has expertise in the analysis and interpretation of environmental data and has been a principal data analyst in a number of large environmental research and monitoring programs. He has led teams in the development of information systems and the analysis and interpretation of the resulting data for many organizations, including the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the American Water Works Association Research Foundation (AwwaRF), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), and many water utilities.
Mr. Rosen has organized and led large multi-disciplinary teams in the collection, analysis, and integration of complex environmental data. He led the contract team that produced the USEPA's 2003 Report on the Environment. He led a team that evaluated complex drinking water contaminant data and performed critical data analysis on the ability of disinfectants to eliminate or inactivate pathogens in drinking water. He has supported the organization, access, and analysis of data critical in the development of national regulation to protect public health and natural habitats. Mr. Rosen's combined knowledge of statistics, science, and information processing has helped a diverse group of clients apply real data to make decisions critical to the protection of human health and the responsible management of natural resources.
Mr. Rosen has extensive experience in the application and management of cutting-edge technology, including remote sensing, geographic information systems, deployed sensors, and information processing and integration. He has participated in numerous national review panels for environmental information systems, data integration projects, and decision-support systems.
