in Saint Albans, VT, in 1994. We are a Vermont woman-owned business enterprise
(WBE).

Our clients include federal and state agencies, engineering
firms, manufacturers, and municipalities worldwide. CEC has three locations: 
CEC's team of scientists is led by Dr.
Jennifer Clancy, president and co-founder of CEC. In 1994, the core
business of Clancy Environmental focused on water quality microbiology
and water treatment. With the addition of Jeffrey
Rosen to the team in 2004, CEC formalized a long-term partnership between
world-class expertise in microbiology and world-class ability to process
and analyze environmental information. Jeff is Vice President of Environmental
Information Services located in the Scituate, MA, office. In 2007, CEC
added a third office in Honolulu, HI managed by Jeffrey
Rosen, to support environmental information management for the Northwestern
Hawaiian Island's newly-designated Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument.
The Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument (PMNM) is the largest Natural Ecological Sanctuary in the World. CEC is providing Information system development and data processing support along with scientific analysis and integration of a wide variety of environmental data. CEC Information technology specialists are evaluating requirements and designing systems to meet those requirements. CEC scientists are analyzing the data to answer specific scientific and management questions. The data that are being processed and analyzed include habitats, fish, mammals, birds, water quality, physical oceanography, bathymetry and related data. CEC supports the collection, quality assurance and documentation of data. The systems being integrated include GIS, relational data bases, advanced statistical analysis and modeling. In addition to the PMNM, clients being supported include the National Marine Sanctuaries Program, National Marine Fisheries Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, the State of Hawaii and many other stakeholders in the Monument's resources.
